a space boy dream - Belle & Sebastian

I dreamt I had to go to Mars.
I'm always kidding on about going to Mars for the day, but faced with the reality of it, in a dream, i was terrified..
And it wasn't going to be like a moon trip - there was three of us going, but we couldn't all go on the same ship; we had to go one at a time with a day between us.
I had to go first, and it was the thought of passing through all that black space, all the darkness with nothing in it, and then being the first one to land there, all alone... I knew it was supposed to be all dark around, with just a red surface, but what if I got there and it was light, all civilised and populated and stuff?
So I made a plan. The other astronauts were going to be my dad and my sister, and my dad would come first after me, so i decided when i landed i would just stay in my seat until he got there, and then we could get out together and have a look around and see what sort of things were there.
And when I woke up and I was lying in the darkness, I thought I had landed. And I just lay still for a while, waiting for my dad to get there too.

renaissance fashion

went to the renaissance faire on sunday and i wanted to buy everything! the food was so good, i got the giant turkey leg of course, a smoothie, and those amazing chocolate crepes. i didnt buy any clothes because they're so expensive, so im making a post to show you where to buy renaissance type clothing that I like

these are all from hottopic, because they have alot of gothic lolita inspired clothing, and ill be making a post about lolita wear tomorrow. this first one here has the shoulders that i love, kind of drawstring type. i have this in off white/blueish. corsets are also very renaissance.

these next two are tea dresses that make me drool...but are a great amount of money due to the heaviness of the cloth. this one has a corset top and is baby blue. the one below is black but the same style.

i own this corset but it doesnt have that patent shine.

saturday's haul! the beauty products

today i went to walmart (a store that i loathe, but i must bow down to cheap affordable prices), recieved two dresses as present from my mother, went to buffalo exchange to give some of my clothes and to shop, and lastly ross.

at walmart, i found a new line of shampoos that i wanted to try out because suave is just not cutting it. the brand is called Sunsilk, co-created with Teddy charles, a hairstylist. I got the thermashine shampoo, which is supposed to boost shine and protect from damage. i notice that my hair is kinda fryed from all the dying i did last year. i did a little research on the product. apparently the line has been created by 7, countem, 7 of the best hair experts in the world.

another product im loving is the line: (moistur)ologie. this line is supposed to replish dry hair. it comes with three step, the first two being shampoo and conditioner, and the third being what i got--the leave-in treatment. its called the in(fus)ion 23. i was suprised that when i opened it, the contents were of the thickness of water, very liquidy. but the intructions say to massage it into your roots and out to your ends. i will give it a try and then get back to you. the third option also comes in a spray bottle, which i would have gotten but i used a leave in conditioner in a spray form already.

the next thing i purchased was the Maybelline Dream Mousse Blush in #10 : pink frosting. So far i love it!! it is very cute looking and creamy soft. it also is very sparkly so it works as a shimmer as well. warning: do not use with your finger, most people make the mistake of applying makeup with your bare hands. the reason you sholdnt do that is because you have natural oils on your fingers that are bad for your skin/pores.

i needed some lipstick and there was a dollar lipstick sale. the brand is: love my lips, and i got pink and bright red. so far, i tried the red and for a dollar its definetly pretty good. its not the best quality and it doesnt last long, but like i said...for that price its pretty good.

i needed a deoderant, since summer is almost here, and i went for dove like i always do. this time, i picked out the Dove Ultimate Energizing deoderant, in grapefruit and lemongrass. it smells sooo good, but i hate white residue. its about five bucks.

last of the beauty products was nail polish. along with the same lipstick brand, i got the brand: Love My Nails, in orange blossom, blue, and neon pink. i tried on the orange today and warning: it does not come out looking orange at all but more of a peachy. which is good because orange is kinda strange anyways.

alice fashion

so i went to see alice in wonderland last night with some friends. i quite enjoyed it...i was expecting over the top animation but it was suprisingly realistic. of course i paid attention to the fashion, and i thought the costumes were very nice, i like english victorian fashion.

this first one here...i love hats. weird ones. of course i dont wear hats myself very often, but i wanted to find a man's hat that fit this picture here <--- for my followers. the closest thing i would find was this <--- black wool tophat from hottopic.com for a measly twenty five bucks. as for the red queen, my favorite character, i looked for things with a high collar, poofy sleeves, or those neck circly things (i know, i need to brush up on my vocab). sadly, i couldnt come up with anything, so if you do find these things please let me know.

for the blue tea dress and the lace gloves, this was much easier to find. ive been wanting a pair of victorian lace gloves for a very long time. at hottopic.com i found a very affordable (six dollars) pair, however they do not come in light blue. here is a purple one, but they also have black, white, and red.

i found this cute handmade alice in wonderland tea dress on etsy, by tattered rouge, for a hundred bucks thats not bad for a handmade gown.

so, for the same theme, theres been a makeup set that ive wanted for ages, but have cringed at the price. it's the Urban Decay alice in wonderland book of shadows. it comes with sixteen awesome eyeshadow colors, a primer potion (which im in desperate need of), and two eye pencils. all for 52 bucks. :/ you can buy it at sephora or on the urban decay website. if youre kind, buy it for me? :]
