so i went to see alice in wonderland last night with some friends. i quite enjoyed it...i was expecting over the top animation but it was suprisingly realistic. of course i paid attention to the fashion, and i thought the costumes were very nice, i like english victorian fashion.
this first one here...i love hats. weird ones. of course i dont wear hats myself very often, but i wanted to find a man's hat that fit this picture here <--- for my followers. the closest thing i would find was this <--- black wool tophat from hottopic.com for a measly twenty five bucks. as for the red queen, my favorite character, i looked for things with a high collar, poofy sleeves, or those neck circly things (i know, i need to brush up on my vocab). sadly, i couldnt come up with anything, so if you do find these things please let me know.
for the blue tea dress and the lace gloves, this was much easier to find. ive been wanting a pair of victorian lace gloves for a very long time. at hottopic.com i found a very affordable (six dollars) pair, however they do not come in light blue. here is a purple one, but they also have black, white, and red.
i found this cute handmade alice in wonderland tea dress on etsy, by tattered rouge, for a hundred bucks thats not bad for a handmade gown.
so, for the same theme, theres been a makeup set that ive wanted for ages, but have cringed at the price. it's the Urban Decay alice in wonderland book of shadows. it comes with sixteen awesome eyeshadow colors, a primer potion (which im in desperate need of), and two eye pencils. all for 52 bucks. :/ you can buy it at sephora or on the urban decay website. if youre kind, buy it for me? :]
